How does WebShow play multimedia web feeds?

Navigate to the module's New Media Editor and enter the URL of a multimedia webfeed that contains links to any Flash media type (flv, swf, mp3, jpg, gif, png). The webfeed must be an XML document in XSPF, RSS or Atom formats.

WebShow will fetch the XML webfeed and cache the file locally. The cache refresh time defaults to one day and can be adjusted in the Media Editor.

When the Media Entry is selected for viewing, WebShow parses the cached webfeed for Flash media files and loads the found media in the player. If the webfeed (playlist) contains image links, WebShow will display thumbnail images for each media file.

Sample multimedia playlist here.
